5 Stars Awesome TV
Great life like visual. Doesnt get that hot in the back. Havent tried blu ray yet but the dvds on my xbox 360 hdmi look awesome. the sound does lack like reviewers say on here..but its nothing emergency like where you have to go buy a home theater set. it will do for the average elderly (not for me though currently shoppping for a set of home theater). controller is kinda cheapish but nothing to majorly complain about. Im very happy. with its specs and features for 50 inches at the price of $1550+ great deal.

5 Stars Everything Nice
Bought this back in April. It arrived 3 days after order. I could not believe it. My first HDTV but I’ve watched many from friends homes and sports bars. This is the best one I’ve ever seen. For a plasma, the glare reduction is the best ever, no one else comes close. I don’t know how they did it.

Only problem, I can’t stand watching my old 32 inch CRT tube in the bedroom. Gonna have to upgrade that one soon I suppose.

5 Stars Great Picture
I work for Directv and get to see plasmas and lcds all day. This tv looks as good as anything out there. What a deal!

4 Stars Great, but not all that
I bought this to replace a stolen Panny 50″ 720p plasma that I was very happy with. This item cost about 1/3 more than the equivalent 720p replacement but the reviews convinced me to spring for a little extra. I’m not unhappy, but I’m not overwhelmed either. Picture is gorgeous, but so was the cheaper 720p version in my relatively small living room. I have to talk myself into thinking that this TV looks better than the stolen one. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail.

Biggest con: the sound is tinny and cheap sounding. If you have an external amp + speakers (I do), plan to use them routinely instead of just when you want to watch a movie. The TV that was stolen sounded so good that I occasionally had to look to see if the external amp was on or if I was listening to the internal speakers. If you DON’T have an external amp/speakers, factor buying some into your purchase price if you choose this item. You will find the audio quality almost too poor to watch the Weather Channel.

I really like this TV, but Panasonic cut serious corners in the audio department. And in a small space, 720p seems to be about as good as 1080p, even at the 50″ screen size.

5 Stars Really Nice!
I bought my Panny through Amazon.com and received it quickly. The shipping Co. was great. I’d read others had problems, but I didn’t. The TV is beautiful. I watched a vampire movie that was VERY dark and the blacks perfect. I have a Blu Ray player that looks beautiful w/ this TV. The extra features are OK (SD card access, internet access, etc.), I just don’t use them much. I checked reviews on this TV before buying and they loved it and so do I.
