The images are crisp, clear and life like. The picture colors are vibrant, the sound quality is excellent. The set-up only took few minutes, and hookups were easy and clearly defind.

5 Stars Amazing TV for Gaming and Movies….
Popped in Uncharted and Gears 2, which I feel are the gold standard for graphics in video games, and the picture quality is stunning. Just make sure that you turn down the contrast and sharpness from 100 to 50ish in the game mode, it really makes a difference. I was just looking around the level, smiling like an idiot. amazing. One caveat, the TV does NOT output 1080p through component cables, only HDMI, despite assertions to the contrary on some websites. Regular cable TV looks OK (once again, turn the contrast and sharpness waaaay down), Blu Ray movies are breathtaking, Planet Earth on Blu Ray plus this TV=WOW.

5 Stars Great TV, great value.
I purchased the television after pricing the same model, as well as other similar brands, in local stores. I ended up saving about $400.00 dollars or so by buying online, and paid no taxes or shipping. The TV was delivered several days early to my doorstep by the contracted delivery agents.
The TV looks very sleek and classy, and you can use the attached base or mount it flush onto a wall using a bracket system (sold seperately).
The picture quality is wonderful and the menu is very easy to navigate. There are PLENTY of HDMI inputs, as well as every other type of input you might want to use (Component, Composite, DVI, PC, and Coaxial Cable). Most of the inputs are conveniently located on the rear of the TV, but a few inputs are located on the left side for quickly connecting and disconnecting temporary devices. There is even a USB port to display photos and the like. Outputs are also plentiful, and come in various formats as well.
I did have minor problems with the sound quality at first, but I have managed to tweak the audio output using the built-in equalizer. This is because the speakers on the TV are projected downward from underneath the lower border of the screen. There is a very slight electrical buzzing sound audible only when the television is muted or otherwise putting out low-volume audio, but I believe this is probably normal for TVs of similar size (regardless of make or model).
Currently, I use the system to watch satellite TV and play Playstation 3 video games with no problems at all. Overall, I believe this product is a great purchase for anyone looking to upgrade to a large widescreen television.

First of all, if you’re considering buying this monitor, buy it through Amazon. Great price. Free delivery. They set it up for you (White glove delivery included). Secondly, inspect it before you sign the delivery paperwork. No one is perfect. The delivery company that Amazon uses to deliver their HDTV monitors is very good in my limited experience (three HDTV purchases online.) Now, this Panasonic monitor itself delivers amazing picture quality. The THX mode is best for watching movies right out of the box. Yes, it can be calibrated in the custom mode, and believe it or not, the picture can be even better. For the price, this model can’t be beat. If you’re still not sure, go to CNET and read their professional review of this model or visit a forum like AVS. By the way, some people are reporting a loud buzzing sound in some of the units they purchased. I, however, am happy to report that no such problem exists with my unit.

5 Stars worth the wait
This is a great TV. I was torn between buying last years model the pn50a vs this years pn50b. I decided to get the newer one because its supposed to use half the energy. The pn50B is dramatically cooler to the touch, front and back than last years model.
Picture quality is amazing. The colors and clarity from blue ray and HD Comcast programming in my house is better than I have seen on most other HD TV’s at the box stores.
There is more glare on the screen than my old HD Sony tube it has replaced.
Overall, I am very very happy with this plasma and highly recommend it.

I ordered my Samsung PN63B550 a week ago and it arrived 5 days later. Amazon ordering was easy and tracking my order online was very accurate on their delivery time. My tv was delivered two days before the actual delivery date from Amazon. It was ship by Pilot delivery service and they only sent one person to carry my tv from the delivery truck to inside my home. I had to help assist the delivery guy to take it out of it’s packing material and place it on top of the stand. That was only thing i was dissappointed with I would suggest you call Amazon first before ordering and ask for a white glove deliver service instead. This was my first Samsung plasma Tv and I am thorougly satisfied with my order picture is wonderfull and movies on HD never looked so good on this 63″ mammoth. If your looking for the best Tv for watching sports and movies look no further. I also saved $700 dollars when ordering through Amazon compared to Best Buy and Frys Electronics. Hands down the best Plasma Samsung has ever made. To many features to list like mega dynamic contrast and 600hz motion picture and 24fps for more relistic movie experience and uses 50% less energery compared to last year models.

Altogether a great experience. Amazon’s 3rd party delivered product on time in the time window, and the delivery person was very sharp. (I had white glove level shipping, so I was surprised when just one guy showed up, but frankly he didn’t need a helper to get the TV into the house and do what he needed to do. Even though I didn’t get 2 delivery guys, I still say I got legit white glove treatment.) TV itself has performed quite well and to my well-researched expectations so far. This was the most expensive online purchase I’ve ever made, and I was leery doing a TV this way, but all in all, so far I am happy with my shopping/buying experience.

After shopping around for awhile, I believe that the Aquos Sharp was the sweet spot for me. It may be true that Sony and Samsung are slightly better, but you pay more for them and I am not sure one can tell that much of a difference in the end particularly at the 42 inch size. I think Sharp is the next best and the price through Amazon was exceptionally good. I was worried about damage from shipping, but everything shipped just fine with no damage. The TV works wonderfully. I previously read that some sites rated the sound and standard definition viewing to be average at best. I think the standard definition and sound is perfectly fine. Besides, if you want really high sound quality you should get a surround sound system anyways.
I think this television gives high value for the dollar. I highly recommend it.

I was searching for a HDTV that was affordable and had a great picture. At first I was looking for a LCD TV, but figured that Plasma will probably give me more bang for my buck then LCD. This is the newest model for 2009. I have an older Panasonic TV (2006), where I had no compliants and enjoy everyday. That TV was $2000 for a 58′, and I got this for $850. What a deal. Simple to set up, and the picture is great. There is a lag when changing channels, but thats life. Great TV for the price.
